Qualità

We place the greatest importance on the authenticity of our products and insist on the very best quality.

Good taste knows no shortcuts. We place the greatest importance on our typically Italian products being authentic and coming directly from their place of origin: the Prosciutto di San Daniele DOP from Friuli, the Mozzarella di Bufala DOP from Campania, the Santa Tea «extra vergine» IGP olive oil from Tuscany or the Riso Carnaroli from Piedmont. For all our other products, we pay particular attention to quality and sustainability. That is why our meat and vegetables come from Switzerland. Every single product is carefully selected to make sure it meets our high standards. Because for us, Qualità doesn’t begin in the kitchen – it begins much earlier, with the choosing. You’ll find the origins of our typically Italian products in the overview.

Prosciutto di San Daniele DOP

A protected designation of origin for an outstanding ham – and a pleasure that takes its time. In idyllic San Daniele del Friuli, northwest of Udine, this world-famous raw ham matures for at least 18 months. It is named after that very place, and for good reason: this is where the dry air from the Alps meets the warm, humid air of the Adriatic. A climate that is exceptionally kind to the maturing process – and one that cannot be recreated anywhere else.

What goes into it can be counted on one hand: Italian pork legs, sea salt and plenty of time. Nothing more is needed. The result is a ham that looks almost translucent when sliced paper-thin, yet says everything on the palate: mild, gently sweet, with a fine spice on the finish. We serve it on the Tagliere, on pizza or simply just as it is – the way they love it in Friuli, without any fuss. Buon appetito!

«Panorama – Edizione Speciale Molino»

A wine selection you’ll find only with us: the Panorama family is produced exclusively for Molino by the «I Collazzi» estate in Tuscany. The estate lies in the heart of Chianti Classico and covers 390 hectares – of which only 20 are planted with vines and 100 with olive trees. The harvest is done by hand. And the name? From one of the finest single vineyards, the view reaches all the way to the golden dome of Florence Cathedral. Hence «Panorama» – and hence the label of the white wine, too.

The «Panorama – Edizione Speciale Molino» is a balanced red made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a rich bouquet and a fascinating overall freshness. Its counterpart, the «Panorama d’Oro», is a juicy, harmonious and elegant white: the mineral, complex notes of the Fiano grape are brought into harmony by the fruit and finesse of the Chardonnay. And then there is the youngest of the Familia – the «Panorama Rosé», made from Syrah and Fiano. Complex aromas of flowers and Mediterranean macchia, a light touch of spice, a hint of raspberry, beautifully balanced on the palate.

All three come to the table in magnum bottles only. The reason is simple: the large format guarantees the consistently high quality the Panorama family stands for. And, quite incidentally, it is an invitation – to share, to raise a glass, to stay a while. Salute!

ParmigiAno reggiano dop

Our parmesan superstar: the Parmigiano Reggiano «Vecchio» DOP. On the Tagliere, on pizza or falling in light flakes over pasta – parmesan always works. It is made from the finest ingredients of its region. Incredible but true: more than 300,000 wheels are stored here, maturing from 18 months through 24 months (vecchio) all the way to 36 months (stravecchio). Did you know that Parmigiano Reggiano is even recognised as a means of payment and as loan collateral?

ca‘ del bosco

Ca’ del Bosco lies in Lombardy, not far from Lago d’Iseo – the home region of Franciacorta. Known for its modernity and vision, it ranks among the most renowned wineries of them all. Year after year the estate confirms its high quality standards and manages to produce organically «by accident», without ever compromising on taste. We have been successfully offering the Franciacorta in our range for more than four years now. The perfect companion for an Aperitivo on a winter’s evening.
